Planning Your Aesthetic Treatments for the Year: What to Start Early

January is not about fixing yourself. It's about setting fresh goals while also taking care of the progress you've already made.

New year. Same face. Just a smarter strategy.

This is the time of year when I see the most impulsive decisions happen. I think we all know by now, that too much too fast, rarely gives the best outcome. (Insert everything on Instagram that scares you)

January is a good time to focus on skin health, structure, and maintenance.

This is especially important if you are planning something meaningful this year. A wedding, being a mother or father of the bride or groom, a milestone birthday, a big trip, or simply wanting to feel confident walking into summer.

Here are a few teatments that truly benefit from starting early.

Chemical peels are best done now through about April. That said, living here gives us a little grace with "May Gray" and "June Gloom", which often allows us to safely continue skin treatments longer. The key is planning and smart sun habits.

Leg veins are another treatment people wait too long on. If you want to address spider veins before shorts and dresses come back into rotation, now is the time to start vein treatments with Asclera® take spacing, patience, and yes, support stockings, which are much easier to tolerate when it is cooler out.

This is also an ideal season for Kybella® treatments to remove the submental fat and give you the chance to want to show off your neck again. Sweaters and scarves make it much easier to live through the temporary swelling phase. That fullness is actually part of the process that helps the skin retract, but it is not something most people want to deal with during tank top season.

Skin laxity and cellulite are another area where timing matters. Collagen does not build overnight. It takes at least four to six weeks and often multiple treatments to see real change. If laxity or texture in areas like the thighs, knees, buttocks, or abdomen are on your mind starting hyperdilute Radiesse® now sets you up beautifully for bikini season rather than scrambling once summer is already here.

January is not about doing everything. It is about planning to do the right things at the right time.

If you have something on the horizon this year or simply want a smarter plan for your skin and body, this is the month to start the conversation.

After all, before you know it, it will be Christmas again.
